This past Sunday I experienced some dining delight. Not one — but TWO — apple pies baked with bacon. While the above is the prettier of the two, it was not the most tasty. That top honor went to the bacon bits (real bacon — not that canned processed flavored stuff) and fully covered pie. Thanks to Covey for baking her first pies and sharing them at movie night. Thank goodness for summer and bacon!
